The hilly and peaceful village of Cachipay, gives the name to this outstanding coffee.
Las Margaritas plantation is a small farm located at about 1500 masl. The total coffee production extends over 8 ½ hectares, 7 of which are dedicated to coffee plantation, and the other portion of land is dedicated to keep the native forest.
The coffee is grown under the shade of many trees that have been planted to help recover the native forest on the zone. With the comeback of the forest, the birds have returned, and the farm has become a paradise for local birds.
Run exclusively by women, the owner is the head of a women association that gathers 27 women aged between 20 and 70 years old. Almost 90% of the jobs given to local women.
Cafe Cachipay is imported and distributed in the UK by From-Am Ltd, exclusively.
